The Cleansing is finally ready. The circle prepared to cure Tola of his "turning into a dragon" problem. Well, to attempt to cure it, anyway. Does it work? ...From a certain point of view? Well, nobody anticipated this! (Nobody in the story, I mean. Maybe you did. If so, I'd love to hear it! And if not, I'd love to hear what you think!)
Emotions are running hot, and it's going to be a rocky path forward. Will everyone involved be able to come out the other side and find happiness? Will the group be able to deal with Horgust and save the town, possibly the world, possibly both worlds? Will the staff of Ida Grove Veterinary Clinic ever catch a break?
I know it's been a while, I just wanted to say sorry about that. It's been a hell of a few months. My nerve blocks usually last about 6-8 weeks. However, of the previous four nerve blocks, three of them were a half dose, using 5 mL of Bupivacaine instead of 10 mL. Why? Who knows! Not me, as the surgeon STILL has not explained himself. Getting to talk to him was a condition of my being willing to even give him another chance, and I got probably 15 seconds out of him as he tried to brush off everything I said and ignore me. Between the partial dose, the fight for my medical records so I could prove he was messing with the dosage, and the fight with the clinic to try to get some form of assurance this would be a proper dose, I didn't end up getting a nerve block until 19 weeks after the previous one. So, yeah, pain had been utterly excruciating for months, with not a single day of relief. Not conducive to writing... ~_~
In better news! I know I've mentioned this before a couple times, but I'd like to "officially" shout out a friend of mine. Mekanip (
IdonotknowwhyIamhere ) is a fellow author who's working on actually publishing his book, "A Chronicle of Lies". It's available on Royal Road (preferred) and here on FurAffinity. It's an excellent series, following Vincent Cordell, a schizophrenic who's pulled into a fantasy world inhabited by anthro dragons, and waking up in the form of one himself. The natives call him a figure of legend, the one who might be able to save the world, but all he wants to do is wake up from his delusion before he loses his mind completely. Because this IS just a delusion, right? ...Right?
I can't recommend this enough, though I have heard some complain it has a slow start. Honestly, I didn't feel like it was slow, I couldn't get enough of the world of Falia that we got to see through Vincent's overwhelmed eyes. If you do find it slow, I strongly recommend pushing through anyway, because it only gets even better as it picks up speed. ^_^

ive previously thought about how id feel if i woke up one morning in the body of a COPY of the original AuntBibby, and i think i wuld be ok with bein in that role, becuz i already kinda see myself as inferior to most ppl anyway? as long as the original auntbibby was nice to me & evrythin, id be ok bein BibbyTwo
Whenever I see something like this, two copies that argue about who's the "main", I always think of the episode of Futurama where Professor Farnsworth made a "universe in a box", and the universe inside it had a Professor Farnsworth who also made a "universe in a box" containing the original. The two crews were talking, and both tried to be first, so they settled on "Universe 1" and "Universe A".
(Similarly, Red vs Blue had the two bases named "Blood Gulch Outpost Number 1" (Red) and "Blood Gulch Outpost Alpha" (Blue). Though, in theory, those were independently named by their respective sides.)
Me? If I woke up as a copy of myself, in the body of some kind of pet/animal/thing? I'd feel sad for the Original who's stuck as a human. I know they'd be so jealous of me, and I couldn't blame them. ^_~

Finally caught up on all of Princess; certainly did not expect this development but it is quite the interesting angle that really makes me feel for Tola.
It has been an exciting and action packed story thus far and I'll be eagerly awaiting for the next chapter. This upcoming battle sounds like it will be most exhilarating, indeed! If it is even half as well done as the gryphon battle, I simply can't wait to see how it all plays out!

I'm glad you've enjoyed so far. ^_^
Health has been a serious challenge this year, hence the slowdown in posting. Brain can't really focus on things sometimes, when the pain and nerve damage is so bad. ~_~
I did manage to write a chapter a couple days ago, but it's the first chapter in a fourth series. A rather dark one based on being in pain and dealing with transphobia. I might upload it, but it's gonna need a hefty content warning/author's note sorta thing if I do.
In the mean time, perhaps you'd enjoy reading Flopsy's story? It's in the same setting, taking place in a small Colorado town, but has a more comic book vibe. ^_^

I'm sorry to hear that things are so rough for you right now. Wishing you the best.
This fourth series sounds like a more serious work; I'd certainly be interested in checking it out if you do decide to upload it. In the meantime, I will definitely be checking out Flopsy soon.

I binged this the past couple days thanks to your Youtube comment. I really enjoyed this story so far! I was super jealous of Princess from the start, but now I'm also jealous of Tola too. I've dreamt a lot about having two copies of myself, one the human me, and one as my sona~. I'm very interested to see where this goes. For now, I'll have to read your other stories, too.
I'm really glad you've enjoyed it! I'm hoping I can get back into writing soon, it's been a hell of a year. I've actually started seeing some improvement with the Azathioprine, but insurance has been a real nightmare in my fight to get it covered so I can get more than the minimal dose (since I'm currently paying out of pocket for it). They're insisting that "suppressing my autoimmune system" is an off-label use of this autoimmune suppressant. >.<
