Figured I'd start off June by sharing my own version of that Transformation Spectrum chart that's been going around again!
I've had my TF accounts for almost four years now, and I've used that time to explore my preferences and learn what I do & don't like in this space. The conclusion I've more or less reached is that, I THINK, I'm asexual, aromantic, or both. So keep that in mind when looking through these selections!
Transcript of the commentary near each entry, in the event my handwriting isn't legible:
- Initial Reaction: Horror = shock? If so, that and Joy are both great. Indifference can be fun too, depending.
- Role in Transformation: TF ME PLEASE!
- Consent: Forced is great if it's playful! Scary forced TF is a lot more iffy.
- Type of Transformation: No particular preference.
- Pain Scale: A little pain is fine, just don't make it unbearable.
- Form: Inanimate is great! Just not my norm.
- Spread of Transformation: "Bones" = not-human faster. "Hands" = less dexterity faster!
- Sex: I'm male, so I'm split between TGing myself or not per art comm.
- Kinky-ness: Almost all SFW for me! Though I do LOVE me some WEIRD TFs.
- Priority: I always comm art. Long TF stories very rarely interest me, sorry...
- Gender: Is this the same as ["Sex"]? Either way, TRANS RIGHTS! <3
- Mental Changes: Small mental changes can be fun! But a major or complete rewrite? No thanks.
Hopefully this'll make for a nice discussion piece between me and some of my followers!

Yesssss, MINOR mental changes in TFs can really be amazing if done well! Instincts, personality traits, or carrying oneself can all be especially cool due to how they're subtle even to the person who's affected. Can make it all that more surprising when they realize the true depth of their changes.
Voice changes are fantastic too. Pitch going higher or lower with gender-changing, having a sudden vocal tick (e.g. saying "moo" as a cow), and more. Lots of fun ideas there.

The difference between sex and gender is than you could take a character who is already trans and then in a tf there would either be no gender swap, or an other one.
Also I wonder if it fall there when the character get genderswap...and ...no there is no egging or wholesome true self.... they got their gender swapped and they HATE IT and want to get back to their regular self (and it's not like theses kidn of tfs are rare). Can we talk about being trans when the character doesn't want to be ?
