What’s worse than being on a massively overcrowded train? Being a massively overcrowded train on an alien planet to which you don’t speak the language, when you suddenly have a reaction to one of the ingredients in the pineapple juice that causes you to suddenly expand up in size making it all the more crowded for both you and everyone around you!

This is Dusty, one of Alterflane’s newest additions to his cast. She’s an alien kobold who travels the universe trying to find the ideal place to make a name for herself. She might have actually achieved that goal to some extent here but not in the way that she was planning. She doesn’t speak the local language all too well, so whatever ingredients they’ve been using in that “Pineapple Burst” she grabbed back at the small stall at that desert outpost have certainly reacted with her body in a way that it doesn’t for the Naridynians.

This picture is actually occurring on New Naridyn, the new planet belonging to the species which Erika helped out in a story I wrote years ago. After the events of the story, they started rebuilding their world, focusing on the main city, and then smaller settlements around the globe. This here happens to be one of the smaller locations in the desert, a place where many of the species would probably be more climatised too thanks to the relentless heat of their previous world.

Dusty probably heard about the new settlements being made and figured she could make a big name for herself by helping out. Depending on how tasty that drink is, she might be making more than just her name extremely big indeed! On the plus side, if she ends up outgrowing the entire train, the walk back to the main city will be even shorter than planned, she might just need to ask Sparrow to come pick her up again…
