Strange dreams representing Baxter's internal conflict over how he feels regarding the him and his friends situation.

(I mean I think I agree that my new form is ultimately for the better, I'm not that sure about the doctor... Maybe he only kidnapped my friends to let me see them, maybe he just wanted to have more experiments... I kinda feel conflicted about the whole ordeal.)
I reasoned.

(ARE YOU SHITTING ME!? WHAT POSSIBLE BRIGHT SIDE COULD THERE BE TO HIM KIDNAPPING THEM!?!) He said.

(I dunno, I just wanted to hang out with them... My doctor asked me to...)

(The doctor just asked me to make sure they adjusted well... And since I wanted to spend time with Cameron and Alan anyway, I just focused on doing that...)

[Which is good. Good sheep obey their caretakers after all!] It said trying to help me feel justified in my actions.

[We have to.] It said in a blunt cold monotone voice.

(Because, I didn't have much of a choice.) I said trying to justify things to myself.

(INSTEAD OF I DUNNO BRAKING YOUR FRIENDS OUT!? GETTING PAYBACK!? LITERALLY ANYTHING BUT JUST STRAIGHT UP IGNORING THE PROBLEM!?!) He growled.

(Maybe... They'd be happier this way?!) I sheepishly defended.

[Of course they will! Under our caretaker they will end up with much more pleasant and joyful lives then ever!] It happily stated.
