This is the two hundred and nineteenth item and the tenth non-Germania item to be added since the formation of the museum.

The enclosed piece is a fact file of one of Germania's young American cousins (as well as information on her grandmother), Bertha ‘Bertie’ Braun, the second War Maiden. Like the present Germania, she is a great-great-granddaughter of the Twelfth Germania, as well as a granddaughter of the original War Maiden, Esmeralda Ellsworth, née Grunzen, who was an active superheroine from the mid-1940s to the mid-1960s. A member of the fifth and final line that can link itself to the Twelfth Germania, Bertie is an FBI Special Agent who presently works out of the Atlantic City office.

She first appeared as Bertie is the first chapter of No More Tears text story and in her costume in the story's second chapter.
