Pitchers occur in wet habitats- bogs, swamps, and marshes. This one was in a tamarack bog remnant on the edge of a calciferous fen. Is a carnivorous plant! Bugs smell the yummy sap and slip in. The "teeth" make it impossible to climb out. We actually have quite a few meat eating plants here. XD
