I think that big birds like this one would probably benefit from having something there (a person or something) to show how big it is. Especially for birds like this that look like normal birds, except that they'd tower over a person.

Uhh nope, this one was right about the same height as a human, at least a taller one, they were about 6 feet tall. Taller than today's leptoptilos species, but not towering over an average sized human.
