Now his belly starts to grow because he liked the pies. This page may not be necessary story wise but as a weight gain comic the belly needs to show growth. And this page kinda shows how Mr. Bumble's suit is resistant to his heavy belly making pressure to the buttons, many suits would tear just with a belly less big than the one in the 2nd pannel.
