Reading is good! Get a better chance for art.

"I want to get better at drawing, so I could use some help. A good way to get better is drawing something different that is outside of the art comfort zone. So I was thinking about something other than staring at a blank page for what to draw or looking at various species on my own, why not ask for help?

The way I see this working is, indeed, asking for help. In a different way of course.

As the journal title says, I want your characters! The references anyway. I also want some species! Common to a bit more exotic.

Leave a comment with references of your characters that you'd like to seen drawn more. I'm not going to put a limit on how many you can leave. I will be picking and choosing what hits my fancy or what I'd like to practice. I might end up sketching all over a period of time or just a few. All of depends, but you wont know if you don't post.

Leave a comment with some species as well. Be it something as common as a bear; perhaps a species so it isn't so vague. Even something more exotic like an angelfish or Stygimoloch. The two might even fall into the category of rarely seen. Suggest fantasy animals, perhaps something with certain traits. You could even leave a species hybrid that you'd be curious to see. For example a zebra/lionfish or an elk/snow leopard. Something different.

In reference to the art itself, things could be as simple a simple pencil sketch, full body or otherwise, up to even a full color and shaded image.

Nothing to loose and some free art to gain.

New Information

* It might not help your chances to get drawn, but you would know right away if I did, to watch me.

* Reference sheets are preferred, but feel free to drop a note with a written description. An image of a real animal or "it's sorts like this [link]" helps me.

* Uncommon species would have a slightly better chance than common. Same goes for if your character is a common species like a wolf, but has unique markings that'll perk my interest.

* It may greatly increase your chances to get picked if you give me some species you'd like to see drawn. Hell, even if you'd be curious to see what your character looks like as a species you suggest.

* *Puppy dog eyes* I'd love to get a commission. For example, if I did a simple sketch of your character and you'd like to see it in color, there would be a discount from my prices since one part would be complete already. Even better if you like what I did and would like another one.

* If you actually read all of this, type "Whee!" in your comment. *Wink* It could increase your chances since you paid attention.


EDIT Well I certainly got a nice variety to choose from this time around. Plus nice to see that over half, so far, have actually listened to me and left a certain word as they should. *Grin* Think after a grab a snack, I'll be sketching some of these characters.

Ah... Also... Since I forgot... It'll be nice to tell me if you want a clean or mature image. *Laughs* Hell, even toss a kink in. Just anything mature will be posted on my mature account, cretaceous.


EDIT TWO Easier on me. A list of who did/didn't do what I asked. The first category makes me a happy dragon. The second category, don't worry. I did type quite a lot.
