DESCRIPTION:
Nathan was born a twin alongside his brother, similarly named Nathaniel, right in some forested town in central Canada. However, through some bizarre genetics, the former had developed a fireproof fur at birth, which would later prove life-saving when his tail got spontaneously combust when he turned 13, but what was more troubling was that his tail would continuously keep burning for who would know how long. His flaming tail could never be extinguished permanently, even after being put out with water or non-oxygenated air, so the only workarounds his family could provide were a good-sized thimble fit for his tail, and water where he could put his tail in for good measure.

They also had a modest yet troublesome living in their childhood, while Nathaniel was notably shy and tended to hide behind bushes, Nathan had no shame running on the fields and recklessly flinging his tail that caused a line of literal fire in his way and a sizable amount of damage. Such a serious fire-related incident would put a stain and blame on the entire Catsofast family, simply over not controlling Nathan's flaming tail, not to mention that they were living in a fireproof concrete bungalow, in comparison to the majority of the town living in log cabins and buildings made out of wood.

However, the local fire department was more lenient and understanding towards Nathan's situation, and was the one who suggested the two aforementioned workarounds. In turn, Nathan grew to admire its firefighting team, and even at one point requested to join them just to see them in action. For some cat with a burning tail to become a future firefighter would sound ironic, but to Nathan, it was his duty to ensure, not to only control himself from making reckless fires, but to also save those from the very fires, whether he started them or not. From school till the end of high school, the firefighters began to become creative in ways of helping him control his tail, as in, turning his literal burden into a harmless entertainment, which would eventually ease down worries and ridicule from his classmates, their parents and school staff alike. Through schematics of acrobatics and parkour stunts, he had become so likeable (despite his flaming tail) that no one had to worry too much about his grades (in which he fell behind in Mathematics and Science), as long as he stayed happy with visible signs of self-control.

His teen years of making a controlled yet entertaining use of his tail had impressed the visiting US ambassador to Canada, that the latter rewarded him an offer to study for college in Santo Tomas, California. For some Canadian local to study in one of US cities with high-quality education was sure a big opportunity, both for his/her family and their town alike, in which Nathan couldn't say no. By the time Nathan had left Canada in 2016, the last thing he saw Nathaniel was that he was undergoing training to become a police officer.

By the time he started moving in in Santo Tomas, he quickly became friends with a high school girl named Rosemary Soro, who then introduced him to her brother Timothy and his two best friends Diego Dagdag and EJ Spenser. Despite mixed reactions given his character, the canine trio was happy to have him around. In pursuit for college, Nathan had already decided to become a firefighter, but for a while, he also chose to prioritize sports, specifically through those based on speed, his second favorite behind fire and firefighting.

Two years past 2016, Nathan received a call from his parents that his brother Nathaniel wanted to see him back in their hometown, in which he agreed and flew back to Canada a week later. Much to his surprise, he and his twin got in trouble with hooded mercenaries there, all due to his brother being an actual secret agent who had stolen secret plans (which were mostly assassination and bank robbery plots) back in Ontario. While Nathaniel was at his best shooting his silenced pistol at quick precision, Nathan was confident enough to use speed and tail to disable and get the said mercenaries off his back. With the secret plans handed over to the spy agency, Nathaniel felt so deeply grateful enough, that he shyly asked to live with his twin from then on, in which Nathan agreed. Few weeks later, he had returned back to Santo Tomas, as well as introducing his twin brother to his friends, who were excited to have a chat with the speedy cat's twin, but among a few were piqued an interest in his mysterious occupation and character, given that the twins actually agreed to keep that a secret to themselves, all out of love and safety for Nathaniel.

PERSONALITY:
Nathan is known to be a shamelessly cheerful yet recklessly entertaining pyromaniac, too kind to be embittered by brutality and too naive to be lectured about harshness. In fact, no one back in his hometown was able to give him a serious lesson about playing with fire, to the point that he's no longer accustomed to serious negative emotions. With that said, he's excitable with fireworks and fire-themed displays, but even more, he's quick to perform fire tricks to entertain those around him, making it easier for him to blend in as well.

He is also enthusiastic about sports, most particularly those befitting running, though he cannot always be a champion in best known sports, like basketball, football/soccer and baseball. He is further an expert in making unique chants and mottos to help motivate teams in certain sports.

His fascination with fire is also on par with his admirable duty of firefighting, owing to his basic knowledge on dangers of fire and functions of certain firefighting tools. However, he can also be a fighter with a fire ax on his hand, should he be forced to, but he's more of a runner obliged to save others first before dealing with the main threat. With his fireproof fur, he can walk/run into fire whenever he wants to, all in to improvise an attack or to find a shortcut, but he prefers not bringing people not immune to fire, unless there are no other options.
