'Ja-vok and Kuno trekked further into the depths of the less explored thick woods, hoping to reach back to the main path. The darkening skies matched their somber moods. They found the rumored Red Delicious apple but were ambushed by hordes of slimes. Due to a string of unfortunate events, ended up in parts unknown. More inert streaks of black latex painted on the ground and on the trees making walking, let alone running difficult. Kuno shuddered, fearing he would encounter the “thing” that could make such marks. The floating automaton from before or worse, another corrupted drake? The rookie leader was hardly in any condition to run, let alone fight. And even if he could, how would Ja-vok escape? Are they strong enough to fight off whatever did this? What would Jaler do, he thought.'
