Kagami is no novice when it comes to dispatching the multitude of beasts that scoure the landscape. Especially by this point in his journey. He has experienced death many times and the bitter taste of a hard won victory over something far stronger than him. He has killed man and beast alike and been haunted by the screams of people centuries past, begging to die with him, an action he is unable to truly partake in. But even still, he flees when met with a creature such as this. Of course, it's in vain as always, for he dies only to reawaken to face this hell again. He eventually does slay the beast after many deaths and is left exhausted and emotionally broken. However, his spirits are lifted when he sees the relief in the faces of those he's just spared from the monsters destruction.
