Aveline's relationship with gender and gender expression is... complicated to say the least. At her job, she has always had a male persona, but it hasn't been long since she realized she was happier as a woman. She came out to her close friends and coworkers, but as a public hero, her persona has stayed male. For now, she's enjoying social transitioning in a small circle, and is wearing more colorful and fun clothes, which is enough for her!

I feel like in art, when it comes to transitioning, it's often shown at the 'final' stage, but I think the start is very important. Realizing you are trans, trying to make little changes to make you happy but not enough for others to question anything... Also, I think it's equally important to represent characters that aren't looking to transition 'fully', there is no need to get surgery. Trans women my beloved...
