This was a test run of the mica shift technique. I used a Totoro stamp for my proof of concept and first test run.
Mica Shift as Described by Sculpey: http://www.sculpey.com/how-tos/tech.....nd-pearl-clays
The way I did it: I smoothed the clay out by hand til the mica was all aligned, then I used my stamp. I then baked it, and then sanded it flat and glazed it. On the left you can see how it looks 3D and on the right you can see (sorta) how the pendant is flat. Pretty fun to do! I might try doing this with my OWN designs that I draw in the clay. This one was just a test, so I didn't want to spend really long on the design. thus using my stamp. Not planning to sell this one since it's an official design.
