Ever wonder what it's like to hang out with aggro?
Really boring! Even if you're naked!
For
kusacwolf and
aggrobadger.
He had me draw himself with a bunch of other characters, so it seemed logical to have a picture of his character with my character. The difference is that unlike the other pictures, no one is having much fun. :D

Damn, that really sucks. Most drinks have artificial food colouring of some sort, don't they? *hugs*
And I totally agree with eating at new places as well. I have very limited selections at certain places, and more than a few times they did not listen to me saying that I have an allergy.

It depends on what kind of drinks. I usually stay to juices, brown or clear sodas, its the ones that start to actually have different colors that will mess with me. Caramel color, Betacarotene, Titanium Dioxide and the such are fine with me because those are natural coloring.
Uncooperative waiters and such are a bitch >:I I've had a few of those before, luckily didnt have any reactions to the food i got.
Theres a mexican restaurant around here, Abuelos, that my mom called to ask about the food. They said they couldn't tell what was in the food for the recipes were 'secret'. They lost quite a few potential customers that day. lol
-hugs- I have to say though, it keeps me eating healthy somewhat. It's also how i learned to read, by looking at the ingredients labels for the dyes: red 40, yellow 5 & 6, blue 2, etc. Only dye i can have, is blue 1, and with such my favorite flavor in candy is blue raspberry =p

*chuckles* Good that you found something that you can have, dye-wise. A lot of places had lost me as a customer because they couldn't listen to simple instructions.
It's somewhat difficult for me when reading ingredients. It's always easy to spot words of what I can't have, but if I don't see them, I have to re-read at least two more times before finally convincing myself that I can have them.

In Europe we have different regulations about this sort of thing from the US. Additives are given E numbers (even natural additives) and the legal requirement is for the numbers to be displayed. Most ingredient lists will give a name and put the number in brackets, but some will just list the numbers. It's a better system I think, since there isn't any ambiguity over what additive it is due to multiple names. Even if there are multiple names for something the number is always displayed.
Something like that i guess, its something in the compounds of the dyes that i can't have. But yes, natural additives are always better than artificial in many/most circumstances, idk of any that aren't, honestly.
As to how i came to know about this certain allergy, trial and error. Ive had it since i was born. When i was maybe but a few years, i had gotten sick, i believe strep throat, and was taking medicine to get better. Well, the strep finally went away but i still wasn't better, in fact by what my parents say, i got worse. Talked to the doctor, and he told us to take me off my medicine to see what would happen. Sure enough, i started getting better once i was off. Doctor explained that it was probably the dyes in the medicine i had been taking for the strep, and to watch out for such in the things i ate.
I used to fuss a little when i found stuff i couldn't have, but now, i've gotten used to it, and found that there are ways around the dyes, let alone better foods than the ones that do have it in them. It's also a reason why i want to become a chef later on in life.

Well, from what ive gotten into of dyes, blue 2 basically gives me an acne breakout, yellow 5 is a worse acne/psoriasis breakout on the face, yellow 6 is basically hives all over my face, and red 40 is 106 fever, rash all over, swelling, its an all out mess ^^;
it seems that everytime i would get into it, itd get worse too.
But yeah, allergy testing is expensive, had that in third grade.

blue 1 doesnt affect me, but blue 2 gives me like a rash/acne outbreak on my faec x.x
Red is the one i really gotta worry about, last time was in..6th grade? i broke out in rash, 106 fever, finger swelled up, out of school for about a week; every time i would get into it, the reactions would get worse.

Oh fuck no. I avoid anything tomato and fruit related like the plague! Trace amounts of the stuff will put me out of commission for a few hours, so I even ask them to change their gloves, and have a clean knife to cut the whole thing. The people at the few Subways that I go to actually remember me every time I go in.
I'm always polite when it comes to things like that. The only time I actually freaked out, is because they not only not listen to the instructions (ie grabbing tomatoes), but not changing their gloves after... so after they start to remake it, once again they grab the tomatoes, and had to do yet another remake before someone else finally took over and did it right. :-P
Well, I did used to work in a Domino's for over three years, so I do know what it can be like to have some incredibly annoying and picky customers, not to mention pretty damn stupid. *chuckles*
I'm pretty predictable when I go to Subway, don't really change up much on what I'm going to get.
