After being discouraged, Clary wanders around the fish market and comes face-to-face with a fish...with a mouse in its mouth. She officially meets Dimitri. Though, he lies to her about his name, going by Rosco. She's repulsed by him and refuses his help. When he wears her down, she reveals her own little lie that he sees through.
Dimitri goes back to my original story idea wherein the Chair-mouse reluctantly gives Clary the mission and gives her a small list of contacts. Dimitri was going to be her contact, not appearing where he was supposed to meet her. I then got the idea to make him this disorganized slob. I then scrapped the idea of Clary getting the mission because it wasn't working for me. It took away from Clary's struggle, I thought. So, (Mischa) became this stranger that Clary would have to trust, for lack of options.
