Boucher was a semi-notorious gangster in Harlem, New York, though he was born in Arkham, Mass. He was born female, but lived publicly as a man for his entire adult life, and was rumored to be a "good friend" of the author Jackson Elias. This, combined with his repeated altercations with the police regarding cross dressing offenses, leads to it being likely that he was a transgender man.
He disappeared in the winter of 1919-20 at the age of 26. He was presumed to have been killed in a mob hit, though his body was never found.Doodled my Harlem Unbound PC again and wrote a lil thang regarding him in the style of Wikipedia
