For Day 21 of MerMay I drew Ponyo, from the anime movie of the same name. Ponyo was once a little fish named Brunhilde, but everything changed when she met a boy named Sosuke and tasted a bit of his blood, now she finds herself changing into a human girl and wanting to experience a human life with Sosuke. Though it turns into a race against time since the balance of nature is off, and the only way to rebalance it and revert all the flooding and chaos is through Sosuke expressing true love to Ponyo, or the world is doomed and Ponyo will turn into seafoam. I literally watched the movie today but I did hear good things about it before, and between the lovely animation and likable cast I ended up really liking it, though what else should I have expected from a Studio Ghibli movie?
