The humdrum shark kept her head down and pressed through the crowd of skimpy skirts and busty crop tops. Her bristly body language and a mouth full of jagged white razors cleared a path through the bubbly pledges like Moses parting the Red Sea. Most of them kept their distance, but a few obstinately stood in her way, ignoring her. Bumping shoulders as she tried to politely squeeze by, three ditzy Pomeranian girls dressed in gaudy pink outfits stared daggers at the intruder. Their passive aggressive snide remarks and vulgar gestures embittered Elsie’s already soured mood...
