Pulling into Oakville Station is one of GO Transit's brand new MP40PH-3C locomotive. At the time the photo was taken it was being broken in by pulling a train of ten Hawker Siddeley/Bombardier bi-level coaches and a F59PH. Although reaching the end of GO's life span, all F59PH locomotives will be retired and replaced with MP40PH-3Cs.

Maybe but the there is a problem with the F40PH. Sure they look very sleek, but the their HEP generator operates off of the prime mover so that leaves you with less horse power for pulling the train. So if you have a 600HP generator which is operating off a 3000HP prime mover, then you have only 2400HP for pulling the train. Due to the lack of horse power the prime mover needs to be at full power all the time. The M40PH-3C has 4000HP and it's HEP generator operated independently. Not to mention that they're also a little longer than the F40PH and more quieter and fuel efficient. Even the F59PH are more powerful than the F40PH since their HEP generator is also independent of the prime mover. GO at one point did have six F40PHs in their fleet, but were rendered as surplus along with their GP40TC, GP40-L2, GP40us locomotives and their F7A APCUs and F7B APUs when they had their full fleet of F59PH locomotives. With the F40PH I have never seen GO run anything longer than a six bi-level coach train with them and the M40PH-3Cs can pull a train that's twice as long which makes it more cost effective.
