DA Cards, First Batch
Okay, here's the first batch of DA themed artcards.
The top three are an anonymously donated gift that I gave to a randomly selected card buyer. It's a triptych of Feep, Anders (who has a thing for cats) and his pet cat Ser Pounce A Lot.
Next row is a disgruntled looking Tygon trying to drink his beer without spilling it on his armor flap. Then we have a random wolf who got caught up in the battle of Ostagar and didn't fare that well. And then we have Wolfteller who is escaping the Circle of Magi as fast as his legs will carry him.
Below that we have another picture of Anders and Ser Pounce A Lot. Anders tried to cast a defensive magic spell against the darkspawn and ended up turning Ser Pounce into a mighty Chakat warrior! Ser Pounce is laying smackdown on... um... raspberry jam! Yeah! *cough* Anyway, next to them we have a wild elven Kittybird in a tree. I thought she'd make a good Dalish what with the tiger stripes. We think she's waiting for the pizza man to walk underneath so she can steal his pizza and the all important pizza box!
Last row we have Wolfwings as a Qunari Serebas mage. Wolfwings has asked me to draw him as three different types of mages and I went with the most detailed one first. The Serebas (translates literally into "Bad thing") are what the Qunari do to their mages. They're masked and leashed, their tongues are cut out of they lose control, and they are corralled and led around like animals. They're treated almost like living dynamite. They're also masked, and I did my best to translate the mask to fit his birdie face,
After that we have an interesting commission that I was eager to do. I was asked to draw Three's adopted son as he's translate into the DA universe. Piotyr was raised knowing that his parents died for his freedom, and it instilled an understanding in him of living for a greater good and sacrificing so the things you care for and believe in continue to thrive. In the story Piotyr joins a sect of warrior priests who act sort of like an independent militia. But in the DA universe, he'd be a Grey Warden. He's also a very warm and carefree fellow, despite the seriousness of his calling and the danger of his job, he's very content and carefree. I tried to let that translate in the image. You can also see a necklace Three gave him around his neck.
And last we have another Wolfwings image, this time as a circle mage. Wolfwings said that the character would be content in whatever role he chose, so just like he was a dedicated Serebas in the first image (The Qunari believe that everyone has their place in life even if you can never waiver from it), in the Circle he is also content and an eager learner. So this is enchanter Wolfwings, well past his harrowing and probably instructing younger apprentices on the proper use of their powers and trying to serve the Circle and the Maker as best as he can. It's hard to see, but his green vest has pretty gold embroidery on it.
There will be more later! Enjoy the first batch, but now imma go flop.

Wow. Some of these are a bit bruttal! But then again always a good to have some brutal works here and there to balence out your cutsey and cartoony works. It's makes you unbelievably flexible in your artwork, and truly shows how broad your imagination is.
...sorry I went on bit of a tanget there! Nice work as usual Gen! :)

Once again, the arrangement of some of the cards produces hilarious results, this time between Tygon's card and the dying solider next to him. The angle of the soldier's eyes seem to be saying "Uh, Tygon, a little help, please?" while Tygon is thinking "Every time I try to relax and enjoy a beer..."
This is a good batch of cards, it definitely shows that everyone had fun coming up with the ideas and you had fun drawing them. It looks like Anders and Ser Pounce-a-lot are turning out to be the most-requested characters. Then again, who can resist a wise-cracking mage and his cat?

Normally Chakats aren't very aggressive, unless you threaten or harm someone they care deeply about, such as their mate or cubs. In those cases Chakats can turn pretty much feral to protect the ones they love.
Though since you know about Chakamil, I guess you know this too =p
