Not really furry art, but I do like to post the pictures I take on here from time to time. And I love my violin.

Well, I'm not an expert, but this violin seems to be really good. The stripes in the woods are thin and there's not much space between them, and these spaces are regular. In 100 or 200 year, this violin will be worth several hundred dollars, if played regulary and taken care of.
Fine tuners and strings looks really cheap, though. Also, the bridge is too thick (IMO). I can't be wrong but this violin is probably from china, mounted by a local luthier who claimed he made it himself (this happens a lot) or bought directly from the internet. Nothing wrong in that, au contraire. There's in china some amazing workshops and my own instruments come from one of them. Chinese doesn't mean cheap&crappy, especially if you put a decent price on your instrument.
Take the fine tuners off the tailpiece, and keep only the "E" one (pr none if you're used to tune your violin with the pegs) : 4 finer tuner put more weight on the bridges and creates a "sordina" effect that impeaches the violin to mature it sounds fully (or slow the maturation down. Quite a lot)
But again, with such a close shot, I can't say more. I might be totally wrong since the very first line ^^" As long as I don't have the instrument in paws, I can't guarantee my analysis. Besides, no one asked me anything.
So I shut up from now ^^"
