First traditional drawing I've made with my new watercolor pencils. I am basically not really a sucker when it comes to draw backgrounds, but when I draw them traditionally and it's nature related, I really can find a passion in it because for some odd reason it can be fun. I really don´t like it when I have to make digital backgrounds. I mostly just enjoy drawing the characters. I also don´t like shading, it's so much work when you want to get a decent professional look because everything else looks like noobish.
On this drawing I wanted to draw feral Mr. Wolf in a forest, walking on a path looking for some tracks. To make the background, I just put lots and lots of different plants into it, that came to my mind.
The pencils I have used for this drawing are water based, they can be blended with water. I used this on just the ground and a few background parts that are deeper in the forest itself and on the moss. You can see that the colors are more intense on those parts where the water had contact with the colors.
