This dish doesn't stay on the table long since it's quickly eaten by my family when I make it. My family demanded a lot of cheese this time around when I made it, but normally you can see the veggies in this dish.
I'd love for people to try this and let me know what they think of it.
The Ingredients
1 pound broccoli or 2 10-ounce packages of frozen cut broccoli
2 cups frozen small whole onions or 3 medium onions quartered
1/4 cup butter
2 Tbsp flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 3-ounce package cream cheese
1/2 cup chredded cheddar chesse
1 cup bread crumbs
Directions
Cut up broccoli and boil it until it is bright green and still crisp when poked with a fork.
Cut up and boil oinons till tender.
Drain both of these and set aside with a lid covering to keep warm.
In a sauce pan, melt half of the butter.
Add flour, salt, and a dash of pepper.
Add milk
Cook, stirring constantly till thickened and bubbly, reduce heat.
Blend in cream cheese till smooth.
Place vegetables in a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
Pour sauce mixture over and mix lightly.
Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
Melt remaining butter, toss with bread crumbs atop veggie and cheese mixture.
Bake at 350 degress Farenheight for 40 to 45 minutes.

Again, it's not like you eat it daily, it's a treat. If you really have such a problem with it, don't comment on how you hate it before ever even trying it. I like cheese, I also like whole fat milk rather than skim milk, I don't argue if someone doesn't eat or drink what I do since what they eat or drink doesn't affect me.
People can eat and drink anything they want, it's a bit of freedom that people are allowed. Now I may be a bit overweight persoanlly, but I have a slow metabolism due to a condition known as hypothyroidism. I have to be on medication in order to hopefully jumpstart my metabolism, but I exercise daily and from my last visit to my doctor for a complete physical and blood test just last month, I'm healthy other than my thyroid and being the slight bit overweight. My cholesterol is perfect and my doctor knows that I eat healthy and don't eat tons of junk food.
This actually does look kind of gross. But so does meatball subs with pickles, black olives and mayonnaise.
And peanut butter smoothies.
And the recipe for cheesecake sounds revolting. But it's awesome.
Can't say I'll try this, but looks can be deceiving! I just don't like broccoli XP

I actually love meatball subs with pickles and mayonnaise and peanut butter smoothies because they all taste good.
I would assume you say the cheesecake sounds revolting because you don't like cheesecake. And if you don't like, you don't have to try it. Why even comment on it if you don't like it?

No no that's not it! XD
I was saying, although the recipe itself sounds ick, you can never really know until you try it, because although it may sound bad as individual pieces lumped together, when it's cooked and eaten it's good. I was giving cheesecake as an example. The recipe for cheesecakes sound really gross and revolting, but it's an all time classic dessert.
Actually, I change my mind, I DO want to try this one day. I like cheese and broccoli, just not broccoli. XP
