I have not drawn something related to fountain pen nib discussion yet, but! Here is Carmen Animal Crossing that I drew using a Pilot Custom Grandee.

They're quite fun to draw with! Sadly, you have to use ink made for fountain pens, so no printer ink.
One of my first fountain pens was a Platinum Preppy. ~$6, has a steel nib, and comes with an ink cartridge.
The Pilot Kakuno is also a great first pen as it's only a bit more expensive while having a section that forces proper grip position.

Thank you! Luckily, the posing isn't too bad thanks to her holding a pole that's essentially detached from the world. Things get a bit trickier when characters interact with each other or with objects that have their own anchor.
As for what happened, let's hope Carmen keeps that spear away and tells us!
