Abilities :
- Dry Skin -
As a Helioptile, one of Lyn's natural abilities is Dry Skin. Normally, this ability simply reinvigorates the Helioptile with exposure to water and this was how Lyn's worked as well. However, after delivering hair beads containing flakes from a Shard to Puszeky, Lyn's abilities were supercharged. Now when exposed to water not only is Lyn reinvigorated, she also grows all over. Exposure to water does not include drinking water, though. So Lyn is able to enjoy a glass of water or any other beverage without fear of outgrowing the building she is in.

The amount of growth and the rate of growth that occurs is dependent on several factors.
- How much water is involved (obviously, greater quantities lead to greater growth)
- Where on Lyn's body the water was absorbed (full body dunking obviously the fastest growth, but otherwise paws, tail, and chest tend to result in faster growth)
- The location the body was absorbed from can also result in a greater increase in size for that area. For example, absorption via the paws, tail, or chest will result in slightly more growth focused on those areas compared to the rest of the body. Areas like the head and hands, however, do not see this effect.
- How dry her hide is/how hydrated Lyn is (the dryer Lyn's hide is and/or the less well hydrated Lyn is, the more rapidly she will absorb the water and thus the faster her growth will be)

It should also be noted that different kinds of liquids can lead to different degrees and kinds of growth. For example, regular water results in simple full body growth. Salt water, however, tends to result in greater rates of growth due to the presence of salt. Caffeinated beverages appear to result in some extra muscle development and alcoholic beverages tend to have a greater focus on the growth of specific areas of her body like the paws, tail, rear, and bust.

As Lyn has found herself occasionally out among the galaxy apprenticing under Viktoria, however, she has begun to encounter different kinds of liquids and even different kinds of water that have more drastic or even transformative effects on her.

The growth caused by her Dry Skin ability does eventually wear off and have Lyn returning to her normal base size and this is a process usually requiring hours (even after reaching planetary scale). However, as Lyn has spent more time at Demideity sizes and apprenticing under Viktoria, she has learned ways to postpone the return to her base size. Unknown to her, a result of her slowly emerging control over time.

- Solar Power -
In addition to Dry Skin, Lyn is rather unique among Helioptile in that she has both the ability Dry Skin and Solar Power. Much like Dry Skin, this ability normally simply reinvigorates the Helioptile with sunlight and, again, this was how Lyn's worked as well. Exposure to a Shard, however, also supercharged this ability. Now when exposed to sunlight especially, but really any kind of light, Lyn will grow all over. However, while all light can lead to growth, it must be fairly powerful to elicit a noticeable effect. For example, light from typical indoor lighting is not enough to trigger any sort of noticeable growth (even if technically a small amount is happening), but a sunlamp would. Stepping into sunlight, however, results in powerful and rapid growth.

Like with Dry Skin, the degree of growth from Solar Power is reliant on several factors
- How much of the body is exposed to light (a single paw is enough for a surprising amount of growth, but stepping fully into sunlight with nothing on will result in far more rapid and powerful growth)
- The intensity of light (stepping outside at midday with a clear sky involves far more sunlight than a rainy day or at sunrise/sunset)

Also like with Dry Skin, different wavelengths of light have different effects on Lyn's Solar Power ability. Unlike the effects of different kinds of water and liquid, however, the effects of different wavelengths of light and sunlight especially tend to be more transformative. For example, sunlight trending towards purple and blue on the visible spectrum has the unusual effect of making her more draconic.

Once more like with Dry Skin, the growth caused by her Solar Power ability does eventually wear off and have Lyn returning to her normal base size and this is a process usually requiring hours (even after reaching planetary scale). However, as Lyn has spent more time at Demideity sizes and apprenticing under Viktoria, she has learned ways to postpone the return to her base size. - Temporal Multimanifestation -
As Lyn is coming into her own as the new Goddess of Time for the Ynaaverse, she has learned to use her new ability to travel through time to also achieve a unique form of multimanifestation. Lyn has always had a mind surprisingly well wired in terms of planning out complicated schedules and even layers of schedules and backup schedules. This was very useful to her as a courier and has now only become more useful now that she must keep track of timelines and ensuring no one does anything to really disrupt the flow of time.

Using her unusually strong grasp of schedules, Lyn is able to schedule herself to literally be in the same place at the same time. Sometimes even to the degree that these manifestations could technically be from a timeline that didn't or will not actually happen. And much like Ynaa and her own multimanifested selves, Lyn too has a unique way of referring to her other selves and speaking to them that tends to leave others listening in somewhat confused.

These manifestations are also unique in comparison to most other multimanifestation approaches in the Ynaaverse in that there is no active mental connection between any of them. Lyn might have memories of seeing her future self in the moment she is currently experiencing with her past self, but that is the extent of the connection.

Even before encountering a Shard, Lyn was always a rather unique Helioptile. Where most Helioptile have either Dry Skin or Solar Power as an ability, Lyn was born with both. While it is not unheard of for this to happen, it is extremely rare. Having both abilities, however, proved to be very useful to Lyn growing up and later on when she became a professional urban courier.

Lyn always loved running growing up and prided herself on being the fastest and most agile of her peers. Later on in life this also developed into a fascination with the almost artistic form of travelling called parkour. A form of travel she proved to be a natural at and practically a savant even. Further improving her performance in these activities were her paired Dry Skin and Solar Power abilities. Splashing some water on herself or making sure to stay in the sunlight would invigorate her more than it did for most. Not to a massive degree, but enough to give her an edge.

In the later years of her schooling, Lyn picked up a courier job for a smallish company in her home city and, while it didn't pay the greatest, she found that she honestly did love the job. So when she graduated, she moved on to a full time courier job there with higher pay. As the years passed she developed a sterling reputation for herself there, but given the size of the company both its reach and funds were limited. After a-few years, she left the company on good terms and decided to establish her own personal freelance courier service. Providing quality and speedy deliveries for whoever needed it whether they were individuals or companies or government.

With this change, Lyn's prospects expanded dramatically and she became a frequent sight all over the city and even sometimes out in the suburbs. Her speedy and skillful traversal of the city grew to be well known city-wide and the tales and videos taken of her impressive feats were often very popular. Seeing her in action in person even eventually evolved into a sort of good luck charm for the city's residents. This continued for nearly a decade and while she had many clients, her two favorites were the old company she used to work for (which had managed to grow over the years to be much stronger and wider reaching) and a certain Zoroark jeweler named Kyth.

Kyth's artisan jewelry business was small, but well respected and she often hired Lyn to deliver the jewelry she made with far more care than most couriers and far FAR more care than DeliEx. Over the years the two developed a strong professional working relationship and friendship and Kyth even sometimes hired Lyn to make personal deliveries not related to her business. It was one of these deliveries that ended up dramatically changing Lyn's future.

Kyth contacted Lyn asking her to deliver a set of hair beads to her sister, Puszeky. But what neither knew at the time was that the "gemstone" that these hair beads and Kyth's own were made from was actually a Shard. A Shard of Iridalea's sword that had been launched out into the wider universe many many many many thousands of years before during her climactic final battle to save her home world. Even though these hair beads for Puszeky were made only partially made from the Shard (leftovers from when Kyth made her own), pieces of a Shard in such close proximity to Lyn during the course of the delivery proved to be enough to supercharge her Dry Skin and Solar Power abilities.

Lyn did not actually notice this super charging of her abilities at first. The day was cloudy and there was no rain forecast, so the lack of rain to splash on her and sunlight to warm her scales meant there was nothing for her to see and suspect. And that evening on returning home from her courier work and from delivering Puszeky's hair beads she had decided in favor of a sand shower rather than a water shower. It was not until several days later on her day off and after each preceding day had been just as cloudy, that she learned that something had happened. In that time she had also seen news about how her old friend, Kyth, had surprisingly grown to impressively large size, able to sit on mountains with ease, and that her sister, Puszeky, had found herself as tall as medium sized skyscrapers. Lyn suspected the hair beads had something to do with these odd events, but had no suspicions of anything having happened to her since they had been packaged during the whole delivery and nothing had happened to her either.

Moving forward to her day off, Lyn had always loved the feeling of the sun on her scales, so one of her favorite things to do on a day off was to go to the beach to sunbathe for a-few hours, either napping or reading to pass the time. Naturally, to go sunbathing she always wore a rather small and simple black bikini for maximum sunlight on her scales while remaining decent.

She arrived at the beach as she always did. Well covered in a dark robe and with beach towel, book, and refreshments in hand. It was a bright and sunny day and Lyn could feel her scales practically tingling with energy from all that bright sunlight. This wasn't really out of the normal as she always found such days to be invigorating. But what she did not actively notice was a sensation of her robe just not feeling like it fit right. Making her way to a spot about halfway between the sand dunes and the water, Lyn set up her spot, removed the robe, and laid down on her back with paws facing the ocean and closed her eyes to nap.

The nap did not last long, however, as she was woken mere minutes later by the unexpected feeling of water lapping against her paws. Lyn opened her eyes to find that her paws were indeed in the ocean for some reason... And that her bikini was nowhere to be found. But as she managed to regain her sense from waking up, Lyn also began to notice the curious sensation of sand moving beneath her despite her not moving. A sensation that quickly led to her realize with glances to the left and right that the ocean hadn't gone to a weirdly high tide but rather that she had grown and was continuing to grow. And quickly. Bolting to her paws in a rush, Lyn moved to step out of the ocean and to try and cover herself, but in that moment had another confused moment of realizing that she didn't actually have anything to cover (a part of the universal safeguards in place around macros so that, for example, they do not cause permanent damage and do not need to breathe in space).

In the midst of these surprises and confusion over her situation, Lyn only continued to grow. She was standing on a beach on a bright sunny day wearing absolutely nothing to block the sunlight, so her super charged Solar Power ability was now turning all that sunlight into a-lot more of her. A poke on her paw as an umbrella was bowled over by her expanding paw led Lyn to quickly lift that paw in surprise and bring it down in the ocean. An act that revealed to her that her Dry Skin ability had also been super charged. Her body quite suddenly began to grow even faster and even more to Lyn's surprise, she felt her bust beginning to push against and flow over her arm that was still wrapped around her upper torso.

It was at this point that a wall of clouds rapidly rolled in from the south and covered the sun and an Absol just as large as Lyn appeared next to her and nudged her away from the water. This was Ynaa showing up on sensing a new being from her home world rising to the Nephillim Tier. At this point in time, Ynaa had not yet ascended to the Deity Tier herself, tried out an anthro form, or even figured out she could multimanifest. But she was still keeping an eye on home just in case anyone else experienced some unexpected growing like she had when she used a Shard for her nanites. Ynaa explained that even though Lyn had not even touched one of the Shard hair beads, the proximity had been enough to take her natural abilities and super charge them to an extreme degree. She also explained that Lyn should return to normal before too long so long as she avoided contact with water and standing in sunlight. And if Lyn were to ever need help she need only contact either Ynaa herself or Kyth as Kyth was going through similar growy surprises.

With this new change, Lyn's courier job became much more challenging, but also an interesting scheduling puzzle. She had to create plans to stay in shadow as much as possible and even create backup plans upon backup plans for if she were to be exposed to sunlight or puddles over the course of a day of deliveries. Some of these plans even extending to sizes where she was as tall as skyscrapers or even finding cities the size of her paws. A size she was not sure she'd reach, but even still she planned for it. However, one aspect that made her job easier was receiving a specially enchanted set of clothing from Kyth that Lyn would wear when out on her deliveries. This outfit would always grow to match her size regardless of how big she grew or how quickly.

Despite Lyn's best efforts, the day did eventually come where she found herself too large to hide from the sun and ended up outgrowing the planet itself. A state which only further increased her growth rate as now there was no atmosphere to block any of the sun's rays and nowhere to hide at all. The first time this happened, Kyth showed up shortly after with a big hug and let Lyn hide in her hair until she was small enough to return home. The next time Lyn reached planetary scale, however, it was Viktoria who showed up. Being the Goddess of Order for the Ynaaverse, Viktoria took interest in Lyn and how she was an individual after her own heart in passion for maintaining order in what she does. The many layers of schedules to make sure packages always arrive on time speaking to Viktoria's own desire for order.

Viktoria also recognized that with how frequently Lyn was growing and how she was beginning to reach planetary size more and more, it was only a matter of time until Lyn would officially join the ranks of the Demideities. For this reason, Viktoria chose to take Lyn under her wing and begin to teach her the responsibilities and methods of the Demideities. Essentially taking Lyn in as an apprentice Goddess of Order until the time that she came into her own as a Demideity with her own realm. This arrangement would come into play every time Lyn found herself at planetary+ scales and continued for nearly a year.

It was also during this apprenticeship that Lyn discovered the effects different wavelengths of light had on her. Viktoria had tasked Lyn with delivering a star to a specific location in the galaxy to help maintain an orderly set of orbits in that area. This star, however, emitted sunlight that was to Lyn's eyes, very VERY purple. To her surprise, after releasing the star from the container she used to transport cosmic bodies, her body began to change. Starting from her hand close to the star and extending upwards as the light reached her, she began to take on unexpected features rather than growing. Her fingers grew claws, her muscles bulked outwards, she grew fangs, her tail thickened with muscle and lengthened, her paws grew more beastly, her snout pushed outwards, and she even grew wings. For some reason, this light had turned into something akin to a Dragon Type Helioptile.

As usual these changes dissipated with time, but learning that some forms of light could actually cause transformative effects was a revelation for Lyn. And not an unpleasant one, either. True it was a shocking revelation at first, but she could she how having such a powerful available to her could be very useful. Not for normal courier work, of course, as that required her to be more lithe and quick on her paws. But if she ever needed to make some really extra large or heavy deliveries, this form would be amazing for those.

As time passed and Lyn grew more and more accustomed to Demideity sizes and how to make use of the abilities such sizes imparted in addition to being able to maintain such sizes as long as needed (a byproduct of spending so much time at such scales), Viktoria came to decide it was time for Lyn to graduate from merely apprenticing under her to full Demideity. Goddess of Order was, of course, already taken, but Viktoria determined that there was a domain that Lyn more than anyone else Viktoria had encountered would excel with. With Lyn's unusually strong handle on schedules and even layers of scheduling combined with apprenticing under the Goddess of Order, Viktoria determined that Time would be a perfect domain for her.

Time is a domain unusually tricky to properly manage. Despite its importance, none in the Ynaaverse have managed to comfortably manage it for more than a-few standard weeks. Even Ynaa with her unparalleled ability to multitask has written off trying to manage Time while also refusing to indulge in time travel. "Too confusing and way too much trouble if you get it wrong." But in the same way that Ynaa is unusually capable of multitasking and thus able to multimanifest to absurd degrees impossible for anyone else to achieve, Lyn has a similar unusual ability in understanding time, layers of time, and the intricacies involved in making sense of endless possible timelines.

She is still new to her duties as the Goddess of Time and still learning how to use her newfound abilities to manipulate and travel through time, but learning quickly and experimenting frequently. Despite this and her new duties, she still continues her old courier work back home. As a master of time and schedules, she is always able to have herself back home at some point to enjoy running deliveries. Whether it is her "present" self or herself from the (or a possible) future. To help herself feel more official in her Goddess of Time persona, Lyn also tends to take on her draconic form when performing her duties as the Goddess of Time. Having all the extra muscle even proves to be helpful when she needs to be insistent on coming across individuals involved in unofficial time travel and causing trouble.

Most recently, "present" Lyn happened to make a delivery to Bonzly & Associates and met Benock as he was the one to sign for the package when she arrived. They recognized each other from times they had both been rather large and got to talking about their experiences and about each other. They clicked so well that they even arranged to meet up outside of work for tea. This was at first simply a budding friendship between the two, but when Skögul joined them for one of these tea chats, she was able to see something rather more serious between them that even they didn't recognize. Amused by this, Skögul decided to make it her mission to get them to start dating and acting on those more serious feelings they shared. A relationship that Skögul didn't just approve of, but encouraged. Not at all jealous, but instead delighted to see Benock and Lyn interested in each other and rather liking the idea of bringing this unusual Helioptile into their equally unusual collective relationship.

At long last, Lyn not only has a new ref, but also a new form, a new title, and the whole shebang of background lore and details!
This all started because of a picture  Alterflane did a-while back of Lyn finding out different kinds of light do different things to her. Most specifically, a purple star making her take on a more monstrous look with claws and muscle.

Fast forward to today and now she's got a draconic form officially and while I was at it I decided it was about time that Lyn ascend to being a Demideity in actuality. Amusingly, I actually settled on Time really quickly. It just felt right for her ^^
