It really does feel like Kaj needs better friends.

Let's just start with Kaj need friends at all. He's really only got Felix and doesn't actually register that as an actual friendship yet.

Plus, making enemies of the entire student body is not a good way to gain any pity when something like this does happen.

Well that's just even sadder. Kaj seems like a fun person, though a bit rough around the edges.

That's going to be the main thrust of his character arc. His excess magical energy has been known to hurt people if he can't keep it under control. Because of this, he turned to pranking everyone and trying to make sure they all avoid him, so he doesn't accidently hurt anyone he cares about. Hopefully he can repair his thinking and learn love and have friends again.

An odd line of action and thought.

In such a magical world, one would expect such an issue could be reduced or mended. Even if the means of doing so were rare, seeking them out would be more effective than that.

I'm interested in seeing how this all plays out. Seeing kitsune in such a depressing state is always sad.

No expense hasn't been tried to solve the issue by his parents. So instead he's retreated into this really sad recluse.

Awwwwww poor Kaj, what a horrible moment! I think he looks just fine! Really teaches a lesson of how he treat people, never know when it can have a bad outcome.

I don't feel too bad for him. He brought this on himself. Though I guess he's succeeded in his goal of making sure he had no friends and everyone hated him. I just don't think he ever considered it coming back to bite him in such a humiliating way.

Even the biggest sinners don’t deserve such moments. I think he just needs to understand himself better and learn who he needs to become to continue on the path he needs.

I'd argue that not even poodles deserve this abomination. It really is the worst.

Hmmm, it didn't feel to me as if Kaj really did something very bad. He made a deal with Paula to do this prank and she was equally guilty in my opinion. But maybe I haven't read something important that would show me more, haha.

And it's weird that others reacted with so much mockery since it's not like he chose that haircut. It's like shaving someone bald forcefully and then laughing at them for being bald, lol. Really weird way to think. I think that if he changed this haircut a little bit to be better and dyed his fur pink it could look okay. xD Would be quite original and cute. Maybe.

And relationship between characters is getting more dramatic. I'm afraid of what will be next.

Well in the actual stories Kaj has been making Rhelki’s life a living nightmare since she just ends up as collateral damage with his pranks. And he pranks everyone so everyone’s got a bone to pick with him. Seeing Kaj finally have someone get a one up on him, brings them all joy at his misery.

Are they available somewhere? I only read this collab you had with Celtic. So okay, it gives me more context about the whole situation. But still I always feel a very strong need to be on his side and defend him. xD He is such a cute foxxo.

Yeah. I think you've read some of them. I've kind of been writing them all out of order and I'm working on doing a full rewrite of these to actually put them in a single chronological place. For now though (in closest to chronological as I can get it).

Wow, thanks a lot for all these links. I began reading these and like them. Fox at the Window explains these pranks further and how they annoy Rhelki, haha. And I wonder if Felix is kinda self-insert! Looks kinda similar to that fox from your very old comic on DeviantArt.

Really appreciate this chronological list for sure! And A Change of Fate seems to be the main story out of all of these. I will read it next.

I hope you enjoy reading them. Felix has some aspects of myself, but really he was more designed visually to have his pre-TF and post-TF forms be comically far apart. So he starts as a skinny acne covered nerd and turns into a tall buff enfield.

While I wouldn't say that A Change of Fat is the main story. It's more of the biggest one both in length and for how much plot disturbance it creates. Trying to fill out the story around it caused me to end up going down the path of rewriting and recompiling all of this so it makes more sense and can actually be read in a coherent matter. Also, I'm planning on embellishing a lot of the stuff that happens in it (AKA, make it even funnier to myself).

He told Paula that Rhelki would find it funny and she believed him, though yes she should have thought it through better. Kaj hit on a weak spot of hers as she enjoys shape-shifting and couldn't pass up the opportunity to be Rhelki's dress for the evening.* Really he tricked both of them, Paula enjoys using her abilities to mess with people but she wouldn't target and humilate someone on purpose as Kaj does, granted he has his reasons but it's still not nice.

*given what happened to her Paula has a right to be a little odd, not that she wasn't somewhat strange to begin with!

That's true. I just really wanted to defend Kaj even if it's kinda evil, lol. But I totally understand what he did wrong and why he deserved these pranks on him.

And it was a fun idea with her becoming someone's dress. Hard to imagine how it would even feel like in real life. xD

I wouldn't say that Kaj is evil. He's just dealing with some personal issues in the worst way possible.

Kaj is definitely a complex character, he really shouldn't do what he does but it comes from understandable reasons, you really have to feel sorry for him that he's unable to let anyone be close to him for fear of inadvertantly hurting them.

And thanks, yes it's fun to think about, it's pretty much why I started writing the Laura in Latex story ;)
