Solar storm 10-11 may 2024.
This was trully terrifying and yet gloriously to witness. The sky was rich carmine color without any photocamera magic.
And I watched aurora borealis at latitude 45!!! this is crazy
And also, I heard Aurora Borealis.
It was actually my third attempt to watch polar light, but it was the first time I heard a noticeably painful infrasound in the silence of the night.
I could hear the entire atmosphere of the Earth crackling from the incredible force that came from somewhere in space.
This force can literally blow away the planet's atmosphere.
That's what I heard...

It's been my goal to see the lights for years but ended up missing them on that day, because I hadn't heard any news about it. My heart is still crying over having missed this, but what you're describing sounds incredibly cool, yet scary! Awesome picture to acompany it too! Really cool!
