While talking with Tethys, Oceanus and Pallas without Dione at one point, Pallas decides to actually ask the male anthropomorphic Rosy Maple Moth: "I apologize if this seems like a weird and invasive question to ask, Coeus, but... Are you... sure of Dione being the one for you?" "Oh, sure, she is.", Coeus says to that, but only because he does care a lot about her, even if not actually in a romantic way, so that he adds onto his answer: "I... wouldn't want to make her unhappy under any circumstances." So then Oceanus wonders in a more oblivious manner: "So are you two gonna get married??" "I have thought about proposing to her, heh.", Coeus admits to them, "Having a beautiful wedding on our home planet Hetrocera surrounded by the leaves of our nature, wedding bells ringing, and the wedding cake being an acorn cake since that's Dione's favourite cake. Yes, I've thought of all this already, I just know she would want that as part of her life, I just... never even went through with buying a ring..." Finally, Coeus lets out some honesty about it. "Who am I even fooling?... Pallas clearly already picked up on it... Yeah, something... something about it doesn't feel right." However, not wanting to just ruin their relationship, Pallas gives advice how to maybe make it work after all: "You know... communication is very important in a relationship. I may never want to get into a relationship myself, but even I can understand that much. I may be an aromantic asexual person, but I'm not oblivious to how relationships work." Coeus just... quietly nods to this. But in this life, Coeus still never tells Dione how he really feels about it, simply because he wouldn't want to make her unhappy.

When Dione is much older and on her death bed once again, of course Coeus is there to keep her company. But showing how bad that relationship really was with the lack of mutual feelings, not much is said at all, all while Dione feels herself slowly getting weaker. In the end, she collects a last bit of strength... only to ask the fellow anthro moth standing at her hospital bed: "Coeus... Why... Why don't you love me?...", clearly not being oblivious to how Coeus felt about their relationship... all while being oblivious about someone else having feelings for her, still not realizing that because of how much she has been focusing on Coeus in terms of romance. But before Coeus can even think of an answer, his lonely best friend and in this life girlfriend already closes her eyes for good. He then ends up answering then, even if she can't hear him anymore: "I... I wanted to..." Well, clearly, it didn't work.

Now inside the library again, Dione keeps trying to find some life in which Coeus returns her feelings. Not even caring if it ends up getting cut short or not, just some life in which the one she loves does love her back. She searches and searches, the look in her eyes continuing to get more desperate. But the search is to no avail. Realizing that she can't find any life where things go well with this at all, she cries, seeing how pointless striving for this happiness is, how much she is just doomed to die alone in one way or another, never with Coeus to love her back by her side, only ever there as a friend. Persephone tries to comfort her but it doesn't make it much less of a painful uderstanding... In not a single one of her lives does Coeus fall for her romantically. Absolutely no matter what, he will never return those feelings for her. They'll always be best friends. But never anything else. Them being happy together just isn't meant to be, just like it was never meant to be for Higeki to stay around... Dione just has to accept that now, even with many tears falling down from her face, though it does make her terribly lonely to a point that's much harder to ignore, knowing that there was never a chance for it to work out to begin with.

As Dione continues to explore the library, now while still in heavy emotional distress over the realization she just had, some more random books here fade away without the female anthro moth noticing due to not being nearby enough.
Part 6 - Adulthood
(Now playing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMUe72RSg5c)
The magician siblings Heart, Spade, Diamond, Club and Jolly get to a location made out of words, with Jolly commenting on those surroundings: "The amount of words remind me at all the paperwork needed to be done ever since we've become adults... You know, things such as taxes or invoices." "So we're in the adult section.", Spade says to that, following by joking: "This is where all the porn is." "S-Spade!", Heart exclaims, heavily blushing just from hearing that, so that his brother tells him: "Haha, I was just joking, my overly adorable brother!" Though Diamond now brings up: "Actually... now that you mention it, Spade, all those sub-locations here seem to reflect stages of life." "Jolly said the places could correlate with events happening at the same time.", Club notes, with Jolly nodding and adding to that: "So... someone's entire life is in the focus for the force beyond our comprehension right now."
But it's also here where they come across Ace the Meowscarada "meowgician" who appears to be stuck, one of his legs between some of the words here, as he asks the five siblings: "Well, uhh... this is awkward. I know I kept trying to be antagonistic towards you, but I kiiiiinda need your help right now.", knowing Club to be too kind to not get closer to help, even though Diamond attempts to stop her: "Club, wait!", but to no avail. Of course it turns out to be a trap when Club gets close enough as Ace isn't actually stuck and now seemingly transforms his oversized wand into a spade (the tool) which he then rams into the "floor" here, somehow causing the nearby Club to fall over as if something swept her legs, before getting the spade out and seemingly transforming it back into his oversized wand, now grinning because of the expectation of Club's siblings being mad at her for trusting their antagonist with such an obvious trap.
But much like with Heart's gentle nature earlier, they understand this to be how Club is, not judging her and instead Spade even says about it: "Heh... so naive that you're even willing to help the antagonist, that's cute. It's a good trait, more people should be like you, really." Ace is angry, "Ladies and gentlemen, what the hell?? Looks like the meowgician with the mechanical tail yet again fails, can you believe that?? Unbelievable!", but... it doesn't seem like it's simply his plans failing so far that irritates him. Instead, it kind of seems to be more related to how the siblings treat and care for each other for some reason, with his eyes focusing on specifically that while he feels himself fueled with anger like that.

In the Asphodel Bibliotheca, as a response to Coeus never romantically loving her back, Dione doesn't even know how to handle that properly, making her want to just deviate as far from herself as possible, just as an attempt to get away from her broken heart, despite how futile such attempts would be. So then, intentionally going against her own nature, she looks for lives of her in which she is a lot more sexually active, must be a strong distraction if it's something so unusual for her after all... despite how uncomfortable she would be with it. Trying to fill the hole in her heart with pleasure rather than the love she couldn't get, she uses what she can feel to find a book containing a life that takes a more lustful turn, then opening the book to get into that life.
