Next is Growler, litter brother to Dobbie, son of Terra and Frodo. Growler started out a darker sable, but silvered out as he got older. He eventually attached himself to my father as "one of the boys." Growler earned his name because of his talkative nature. When we would come home, Growler would meet us with the pack, but "smile" by showing his teeth. He was also ticklish and would growl when we teased him with it. He was the largest of our pack, solid, with long legs. We had to put him to sleep about a year ago when he became sick with cancer. We miss our big boy. ♥
