Experimenting with an old app called Rays, developed by Digital Film Tools, LLC and no longer sold on the iOS App Store.

Since the rays are only added to highlight areas, they have the effect of passing through objects and add a third dimensional quality. The submission title is a reference to the song "Day on the Beach (New Rays from an Ancient Sun)," the eleventh track on Joe Satriani's 1989 album, Flying in a Blue Dream.
