I love how the white on the insides of her legs connects to the white below her knees.
I'd love to see the back view, would be so cool.
Maybe for the unique design, you could do something on her back flowing onto her tail?
just a thought.
if ya doodle her up again, I'd love to color her. She's so pretty ;~;

Hurr, you made me realize that I didn't connect the marking to her knee on her left leg. :B
This is her last design: http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/8224/korin.png
I'm keeping the tail and the butt markings, but not the random swirls and tribal markings.

I always liked Korin with pink hair. o3o Wasn't it pink when you first made her, back in the day?
I would like to point out that her current color scheme makes her look like an older Amity. I'm sure you know, but I thought I might mention it, just in case. Or if you don't care, that's cool, too. :D

Her hair was always white, it just used to have pink tips.
And I made her a little closer to Amity in design because Amity's species is a genetic experiment that meshes Elfane, Alterec and Serosa, and I was thinking of having Amitys originating DNA be from Korin :o

As a brown belt with experience in the bo staff, I don't see any practical point behind that particular pose with the weapon... but as an art critic, that's very well done regardless.
I've seen more than a few people wreck otherwise great creations by adding too many fiddly details: complex patterns, color overlays, and the like. This is nice and simple and works well. If you do end up adding unique markings, I'd hope you keep them to a similarly simplistic style.
*note: I'm not a professional art critic, though I do practice martial arts*

I practice art, not martial arts, and I tend to lean towards what I find appealing rather than what actually works, especially since my subject matter cannot and does not exist anyway!
I do plan on giving her simplistic markings as well. Trying to practice "less is more". :3

*chuckles* If it was taken as a stab, it wasn't meant to be one... I was just saying 'you know, that doesn't look practical, but it does look dang cool.'
And good to know you're planning on doing simplistic markings... too much stuff can ruin the image if it's not done well, and even then it can be hard.
