Yah, I've seen a lot of that when I used to work at the E.D.D. It's pretty tough and it is draining on one's self-esteem, but life's gotta go on.

just needed to make a phonecall twice a month and go back to my home country once a year

There are some people who will strive for their whole life to even touch what you had, believing that it will solve all of their problems. They will waste away, toiling and saving up for a sunset that will never come. They lead a long, suffering life, and remain unable to enjoy because they believe there will come a time when their fruit will blossom further, always.

You know better, now, and maybe you'll enjoy this second shot at life a little more, understanding it is the journey and that your destination, no matter how grand, may never be your final resting place.
