This reminds me of a remedy that my mother had for an upset stomach. She would literally suck on a lemon wedge and it would calm her stomach and it also worked on me; I wonder if it is the citric acid in it that helps the stomach feel better because Sprite or 7-up would also help, provided you didn't drink it too fast.
