The sun had risen to a new day, as a lot of people were out and going about their day. Rich was no exception since he was out to get some supplies. However, as he was walking along the shores of the ocean to get some fresh air, he suddenly heard a voice.


????: Hey you!


Rich looked around him at the sidewalk. That was when he looked down at the water, where he saw something he never expected. Right beside him was a mermaid. The first mermaid he has ever encountered in this World since he first found himself in it.


Rich: H-huh? ...Me?


????: Yes. You. Here's some pearls, go get me some coffee.


Rich: Uh...


Rich was at a complete lost for words. Here was a mermaid, who just called out to him out of nowhere, offering him pearls that were more than likely very valuable, all just so he could just be an errand boy and do a coffee run for her. And at this point he didn't even question why a mermaid would want coffee. Let alone seeing one drink coffee before.


Rich: …That’s it?


????: YES. So are you just gonna keep staring at me or will you just go and get my coffee?


Rich: Uh, sure...


Not wanting to question this situation any further, Rich set off to get what he was told. After all, he was just paid to do it.

I have never been one to participate in what is called 'Mermay', since I don't have a Mermaid character. However, with this collab pic between me and my friend  jurgenblue, I feel this is an exception :) . Not to mention this will be my first Mermay pic that I have ever uploaded. When it comes to the pic,  Usagiforehead really did an amazing job with this pic :) . Despite Rich being someone who tends to do "illegal activities" for a living. Mostly with fake papers and documents, that doesn't mean he will stoop to just taking something someone offered as payment and just run off. After all, he is trying to get back into the straight and narrow. Well as much as he can ;) . Not to mention it's not everyday you encounter a mermaid literally asking you to get them coffee ;) .
