"His transformation was not all that long ago, a nondescript fox taking the mantle of being a little more mystical than the rest of his kin. A proper kitsune now, Fell walked along the same paths he once had before but now seemed... unfamiliar. Where once was nothing but leaves falling and insects buzzing about, yokai and essence instead dotted the landscape around him, enchanting his senses as he began the long process of learning to accept and understand his new surroundings and self. Every journey begins with a step, a step only possible from every effort before it. As bewildered as the kitsune was, there was little but excitement in embracing what surprises would most certainly come next."
An older traditional sketch from my friend Lunnakaiser (Pixiv), colored digitally by myself. One of the original concepts for my kitsune, I've come back to rescue it and shape it into how my kitsune has begun to actually turn out! There are all kinds of aspects and styles I want to explore, both from other artists and myself, so I'm excited to see the many ways in which Fell will inevitably be portrayed. I wanted to start my posting with something from the friend who has been infinitely patient and generous with his time and art.
