I agree with you for everything except milk (I drink skim milk so it's not thick/oily. Whole milk disgusts me though), and partially forums. I agree that I don't understand why people sit on them for days on end (or longer!), but on occasion I do like to check into a few. =)

Forums: That's why I don't frequent anything other than furaffinity anymore. Myspace and facebook? Nope, you'll never find me on there unless someone has stolen my identity.

Sims: The last time I played was when Sims 2 first came out. I built houses on it. I made a Sim of myself that was boring and had a really crappy life, and a Hitler Sim that was so freakin' annoying and whiny that I had to kill him. So I went back to building houses. Houses are more fun.

Spicey Food: Love it, and now that I'm pregnant, I can't get enough of it. However, I was raised on southern food, when we mean spicey, we mean spicey with spice. If you can't feel your mouth, you'r doing it WRONG. Get out of the kitchen. And no, covering it with hot sauce and pepper isn't making it spicey, it's making it shitty.

Drinking: I've been called an alcoholic, because I love the taste of liquor. I hate beer. It tastes like piss. I hate being drunk, because after a while, you can't taste the alcohol, much less stand.

Nostalgia Goggles: I'm selfish and stubborn, but it doesn't mean I'm nostalgic about everything. My Little Ponies for instance: I think it's awesome and cute and I love the fact that it's been remade in a way that girls of this generation can enjoy. Thundercats on the other hand: Why the hell would you make a totally awesome american cartoon into a cell-shaded anime-style show where the characters all look 20 years younger?! WHY?!

Milk: . . . I've always wondered why milk was weird to me and why I always had to add sugar and syrup and flavors to it to drink it. It has that texture to it because of the calcium. Calcium isn't a liquid, it's actually a solid.

Myself I never understood drinking to forget until I started working as a Phone support agent for a cellular company, Dealing with the public and their billing issues really is best forgotten about.

Also for nostalgia goggles, Most original work is better in spirit, especially when the work they are doing is a work of passion vs the later editions working to just cash in on the franchise. IE Dawn of the dead. Where as other products, like Count of Monte Cristo the original was more cerebral where the re-make was a touch more action oriented, Same with the Manchurian Candidate, which will leave cinema snobs, (not necessarily a bad thing) to enjoy the original far more because it demands more intelligence. Also, no American remake has ever been as funny as the British original (I am looking at you Death at a funeral).

Oddly enough it seems you did capture why people like the sims so much, they want to be somethings god.

Spicy food releases endorphins when you eat it, so consuming enough gives you a high of sorts, also since they can act as a decongestant and really clear out your sinuses you can breath better, and the extra O2 also works in making its own high.

I don't know. I mean I find that to be just as excuse. Just because some remakes were done just for the cash doesn't mean that people don't put THOUGHT into them. And I'm not saying that you're not allowed to hate squeals or something, but I say you're not allowed to hate it BECAUSE it's a squeal. Especially if you don't give it a fair shake before saying so. My main 3 "fandoms" Pokemon, World of Darkness, and Chess see remakes/new versions fairly often and I know that if I didn't learn to enjoy what I have, I'd never have fun.

Not necessarily that its made for cash in all cases that makes a movie bad. All bond movies are made for cash, but as eras change, the bond changes. As it changes people will find a set that they like most. One era tends to be more enjoyable. People who really like older movies tend to be the ones who militantly like originals, because well, thats when they were made. Also some people dislike certain directors, like Michael Bay, and when they touch awesome things from your childhood, Like transformers, and decides to make something that completely misses the point... ok the only one I really get tichy about is transformers because its supposed to be about Giant robots, not a young man and his quest to nail megan fox.
