Not too weird a question, but yeah...Randall's still got his face scar, but thanks to some healing gel, and a mesh covering, sometimes it doesn't show up on recordings. That said, considering what we saw...he's not the only one with scars that you can't obviously see...

Is Randall still wearing diapers? Doru is blocking my view and in your previous pictures he wasn't padded. Doesn't he have an injury that forces him to be in them all the time?
Also I haven't finished watching season 2 yet so no spoilers. But judging from the commentary in this transmission I'm afraid to find out what they did to Randall. When I heard they were bringing him back I was hoping they'd give his character some possible of redemption rather than just making him another bad guy. Anyway it's looking like Johnny's the real villain of the series at the moment.
Also I too find it weird that his name hasn't come up at all in the series. You'd think that someone would find it strange that the second best scarer of the company suddenly went missing, or his family or relatives would notice and looking for him. Perhaps the CDC covered it up to protect Sulley and Mike from illegally banishing the lizard?

Randall's been on the ship for awhile, and we got some great medical treatment, and apparently the guy can bounce back from a lot so I guess his recovery went well enough that it was a temporary condition on his end. Though...I swear I see him wearing one now and again outside group things like this...huh...
O-oh...well...umm....most of Season 2 is uhh...pretty good, much better than the first in terms of, well, everything. Up until, well...the last two they put out at the same time...because umm....no spoilers uh...wow...it's kind of hard to uhh...well...............

It's @$@$ what they did! I mean SERIOUSLY! Episode 9 is like the appetizer to a crap show of a finale that from paragraph ONE is a LIE and spits in the face of EVERYONE who was is an ACTUAL fan of the whole thing! SERIOUSLY, this was a rush job written by so many hacks that pat themselves on the back for the @$@#@# they gave out! Randall got the worst of it, BAR NONE, but EVEN that Johnny jerk got done in by bad writing and plot threads....and actually NOT just them, but a LOT of the other monsters got their stuff ripped up to, it was a pile of---!

Well um...I heard that, apparently, the writers said they were hiding his name so it would be a 'surprise'...but umm....yeah that...that isn't how a mystery is supposed to go. I mean we were ALL looking for clues, but there was nothing, not even in the news stuff that you'd think it'd be there....and nobody was even looking or talking about him, which, yeah is kind of sad...it proves he was alone over there...
And yeah...we all kind of...agree that what happened to him was covered up by the CDA/MERC...since those one two guys didn't go on trial for it...I mean they even got the CEO jobs the NEXT DAY...I mean...isn't this Roz person supposed to be 'always watching'...? And the two HAD to have told her right...? So...why did they let a crime go? I-I mean, we saw Season 1 and they said doing it was a criminal punishment so...I dunno...it's REALLY wrong...I'm glad he's with us and not in this kind of situation because it is just...wildly unfair and unjust...kinda makes me a little sick in all honesty urp....

Thanks for the reply. As I was waiting for it I looked back at the pic where Randall was first brought to the ship and after reading the description thought that he got better. But nice to know he's still a bit of a lover of them at heart. Maybe Doru could convince his daddy to wear one in public from time to time. Or perhaps Randall might use the ship's tech to make a device to hide the sight and sound of them so he could secretly continue to wear them, like a portable holographic projection.
Thanks Azul for sharing your personal opinion...uh very passionate of you *sweats a bit in fear*. Still I'm going to bit the bullet and watch the last two episodes but at least I know what I'll be getting into. Knowing that it's that bad in my heart I'm not going to accept those events as canon. Instead I'm going to try and come up with a better ending for the two. Perhaps even write it down as a fanfic to be read after watching episode eight. I have written the sart of one where a mishap forces Randall and Sulley to spend time together without Mike allowing the two reconcile the past and clear things up a few months before the events of Monsters Inc. After doing a slightly altered version of the movie I planned to move into the events of Work. If I ever finish it I'll let you know.
Sulley and Mike are no saints, that's a given to the older fans who really analyze the choices they make. And I can understand there are many that are ticked off that they are treated and act as such. The biggest mistake they made was illegally banishing Randall. While I don't like idea of him going to jail, he might have gotten a lighter sentence than Waternoose and some help dealing with his anger. But instead he was throw through a random door, nearly beaten to death and given a more legitimate reason to hate the two thus fueling his need for revenge. Sure he tried to kill them but Sulley and Mike are supposed to be the good guys for crying out loud. They should hold themselves to a higher standard and shouldn't have to sink to such tactics. I think Sulley was influenced by Mike into the banishing cause it really doesn't sound like something his character. Looking at how Mike acts he can more often be the devil to Sulley's angel. Like if he wasn't around the big guy all the time then maybe he could have had civilized conversations with Randall and lessened the lizard's animosity enough that they perhaps could have been friends, or at the very least not dislike him enough to help Waternoose get rid of him. Cause in season two I was reminded that Mike seems ready to argue and judge those he doesn't along or agree with. So yeah I'm starting to feel that he hurts more than helps their buddy dynamic. But there were a few good things that the duo did in the Work series. Like unbanishing the Abominable Snowman and getting rid the leaderboard. The latter they likely did to avoid creating another Randall so they did learn something from him I guess.
I'm glad that he's with you guys too and that this season is just like a nightmarish 'what if' to him.

That's just how it is...the 'good guys' even they per-meditatively break the law get off scott free...those two didn't JUST do that, they got REWARDED and somebody on their side to COVER it up! And this person...tah...THIS person goes on to ENDANGER AN ENTIRE CITY and INNOCENT PEOPLE to get an arrest....I mean WHAT!? No wonder he's staying with us, the law for reptiles over this is freakin' ridiculous!

....I've kinda been called a pair to Az in a lot of things we've done...so I kinda think I know the dynamic and...yeah...I can see that that Mike guy kind of agitates people more than he helps...even his own friend...I mean, he kind of took advantage of people even back in college and doesn't seem to have changed much so....

Oh, don't get me started on the AB episode...I mean sure, guy deserves to get back since crabby threw him out and all....but that whole episodes goes into the FACT that Banishment is a legal punishment and one of the worst things that can happen....and yet NOBODY brings up Randall AT ALL? Not even the two who COMMITTED the crime in the first place? They don't get a 'huh...this happened to AB...maybe we shouldn't have done that...you think he's alive?' or something...but no, NOTHING....

That's umm...what we're trying to console with but...it was pretty bad and is gonna tank his reputation...even Riley was just as confused. Kid's been trying to look through it all to make sense of why his dad would be portrayed like he is...honestly, there's SO much that doesn't make sense, I think this must have been a different universe ending or something...a bad one...

Sorry about mentioning that, that is something I consider having the Randall of my fanfic story invent.
Yeah I completely agree with all of that and I'm enraged at the ridiculousness of it too. Randall is such a great character but with the way they took the plot of the movies and series, and making him a secondary antagonist has left me feeling disappointed. While they did others really well I feel like they failed with my favorite. Can't believe they screwed up bring him back. But I take comfort in knowing there's still your Randall and the Randalls of a few fanfics that make me feel better.
I feel very sorry Doru had to see that. It must have been rough for the little guy and I pray he is just confused and not traumatized. You know I like to believe that Azul is storming off to go find the writers and beat the crap out of them. I'm not going to take what I see seriously so his reputation's still safe with me.

Oh it's fine...Oh...some kind of cloak thing? Ha...well if you have a fanfic story with Randall in diapers, that would certainly be unique, sure Riley would get a good chuckle at that heh heh.

Pfft....yeah that's nice and all, but the blatant disregard on their part is practically criminal. Seriously, did these people fall into a stupid dimension and came out the other side with these ideas? Jeez...like his kid said, people waited and worked like two decades of their life, getting teased he'd turn out fine, and they do...THIS? Talk about a middle claw to those people...

Riley's...a smart kid. Like most of us, he knows this is going to hurt his dad's reputation but, yeah he knows this isn't true no matter what's said, and he recognizes that it's impossible and full of lies so at least there's that....I kind of feel bad for the kids who start seeing his dad in a worse light though....
Ooooh, don't give him ideas...he'd take it farther than that...
