A few weeks ago, this set up was down to just two plates. Club members were unaware of the rules to use pistol caliber cartridges only. Unfortunately, rifle cartridges and shotgun slugs cause severe damage, ruining this setup for other club members. When struck these emit a loud clang or ping as they fall back. A hit from a .22 rimfire barely does the deed, and requires a high hit. A larger caliber strike may cause the plate to rebound and reset. pulling the lever below the rack will reset them all. I'll need to bring a piece of clothesline to pull that lever on the next visit.
