Her parents are trying to keep her away from Barbie, My Little Pony, Disney toys, etc. so she can develop her own imagination instead of importing it from corporations. I think banning MLP is going a little too far, but I defer to the parents' wishes about how they want to raise their kids.

Aww. That's cute. I'm glad Lolly will be making an appearance in the book, too. I know everybody seems to like Electra, if only because she's so much fun as a punching bag. But Lolly is much cooler than Electra could ever hope to be. At least I think she is.

Might want to flip that last panel horizontally to keep from doing the sudden switch up. It's a little jarring to see the characters suddenly flip positions (180 degree rule http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/180_degree_rule)

I have to say this: I don't think Lolly would be half as endearing as she is if she wasn't friends with Electra. In fact, I imagine the girl would be pretty damn annoying.
