I have more important things to do, but I couldn't repress the urge to carve a Derpy for myself.
It's hard to see, but it's supposed to be the sun behind her and I tried to fade the yellow to reddish towards the back. She's sitting on a cloud and I tried to shade it darker on the bottom and highlight some reddish towards the top.
It's not great, but I'm still learning...oh, and the quarter is there to show the overall size of it.

It ended up being more difficult than I thought it would. Working out a carve-able design and mixing the paint to get just the right shades took forever. I had to buy some better brushes for the detail work, her eyes and eyelashes/brow.
It's hard to tell, but I tried to shade her iris's too.
It was fun though and now my fridge has been derped!

I was afraid of cutting out the wings because it would make them very weak. The other reason to not cute her out all the way was it wouldn't leave much room for the magnet.
I was going to make it the moon behind her, but since she is my sunshine, I though this was more appropriate.
