So Shane has a lot of reasons to wanna be a Macro, but the main one is His Grandma Clover, he loves her to death and is sad that unlike his Mom his size shifting powers haven't been activated yet. Luckily he has Luna’s grocakes to make it where he can grow in the mean time. Yes Ive decided that Shane's also a size shifter, but since his powers are still dormant he doesn't know yet, but both he, Sally and Nicole will all be excited when they find out! Clover is the "Youngest" Immortal friend of Nova's at 475 years young, but as mentioned she is actually Shane's Grandma. His mother (may or may not show her later not sure yet) is is one of Clover's younger children. Like mentioned she is a size shifter, but fear not, the Young Man's powers are on about to be awakened due to the prolonged exposure to Luna’s GroCakes, and those may or may not influence how big he can get
