Pounds Upon Pounds (PART 2)
A week had passed.
Melon once again stood before the mirror during his daily routine, looking down at his rounded midsection with worry. He gave it a poke and whimpered as he felt it loudly rumble, crying out for more food despite the feasting he had done over the prior few days. He swore he could even see that his chest had grown larger and softer, as well.
"...No, no, this isn't a big deal at all. I'll be alright. I can get rid of it, no problem. Just... Not today." He gave himself a confident smile and slipped on his shirt, buttoning it up with noticeable effort.
The sight of his shirt's buttons struggling to hold together, exposing some of his round red belly's scales between the gaps, gave him pause, however.
He averted his eyes and stepped past the bathroom scale once again, slipping on his hoodie to hide his growing gut from the world... As well as himself.
