Talking to Heidi, trying work out what Muchi's setting would be if I were to make an ongoing comic.

We agreed she should be in Africa, her species is African. To get around the Japanese name, her father is a Blakiston Fish owl. Her mother will be a white-faced scops. Mother is a bit hippy-ish and father is grumpy and quiet.

Things I'm thinking about:
Maybe Muchi will live in a thorny acacia tree and her parents in a flame tree nearby.
Flock of queleas acting like a strange little pygmy tribe or Pikmin. Not sure with this idea, it's too easy to appear racist :\ I want to have birdy versions of common groups but I don't want to be offensive.
I want an ostrich character xD Maybe a friend of Muchi's.
Names for mother and father; thinking of calling the mother 'Free.'

So yeup, still planning. This is just an idea that came up when we were talking, one of several really but most need me to sort out other details before I try to write them.
