Here is a sketch commission for
Ant of his character as a 1930's Imperial Airways pilot beside his DeHaviland Dragon Rapide Passenger plane.
I redrew the plane in the finished version based off an actual reference photo. My previous attempt looked a little out of scale.
The commissioner bought this as a £4 preorder of the sketch commissions I'll be offering at Confuzzled this year rather than the convention price of £8. For more details, check this out. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5577782/

1920s. mostly for the speakeasy thing since prohibition ended in 1929, meaning bars etc.. were perfectly legal in the 1930s, in-turn removing the point that the owners, supliers etc... would by default be perpetrators of organised crime - i.e. gangsters/mobsters.
in actuality, the mafia type criminals - by the 1930s were moving more into things like money laundering and other more.. white collar crimes for their money. people like John Dillinger were a rare and dyign breed in the 1930s.
er... sorry for the history lesson there, but... 'tis true. :P

in which case, just so you know, it was based on what i remember reading on wikipedia having watched the johnny depp film Public Enemies (and from that film itself) so there is a chance that some, most or even all of that is actually slightly, very or even completely wrong.
But I think it's right.
plus, at some point, if Confuzzled continues indeffinitely, there's bound to be a 30s theme at some point, and so you'll already have artwork for that.
though if it isn't until you're 80 or something, the artwork being of yourself as a young buck might seem a bit odd. though at the same time, quite cool and retro (if possibly illegal being on paper by then. tohugh would an anti-paper law set by environmentalists effect things printed before the law comes into effect? I dont think it would. and though you might argue that by then time travel might be a reality and they could go back and make sur enothing was ever printed on paper, the very fac tthat stuff IS printed on paper proves that that won't happen, so you'll be fine. What were we talking about again?)
