Really great, I have to fight the urge to favorite almost all of these sketches. Only one small problem, the wingless one looks better because wings don't work like that. His right wing (our left) wouldn't be at that angle unless his other wing was folded more forward too. While his wings could theoretically do that if he were possibly using his wings to help gesture to something, but in a relaxed pose, they would be at about the same angle when adjoining to the back.
Imagine the two wings as extending from the back in a 'V' shape. Rotate that V shape so that it stays in line with his back, and it will give you a rough idea of how to angle them. If you want, I could do like a red-line or example mock up if you wanted one.
