My friend Eric
EOCostello from New York surprised me with this charming, custom-made stuffed toy of a coyote, which is filled with glass beads to make it sag onto the surface it's set on. I haven't really named "Him" yet, but the personality vibe I get from the toy is definitely male. I figure since Coyotes are powerful spiritual animals, tricksters, and shape shifters, I might settle for some sort of "Magical" name. For now, he occupies the bedcovers during the day, and serves as the "Guardian of the clothes pile while I sleep. A truly amazing and remarkable gift.

(Laughs.) The company, founded by an autistic artist, is still in the "Kickstarter" stage, but I'm certain that they could help you out with such a tall order if you're interested.

I'm just curious, though. Do you need seven because you have seven friends who are coyote sympathetic, or do you want to start your own, personal pack? The owner has mentioned he likes to sleep under his stuffed animals and says they make a dandy, weighted blanket.

On Bluesky, I've recently discovered two interesting and engaging One is Hourly Foxes, which publishes a picture of a fox every 60 minutes and the other is OnlyYotes, who does the same with our latrans friends.

I prefer to let 'em feed on the neighborhood cottontails. They're pretty handy at taking care of rats and such too, if people aren't overfeeding 'em on house pets.

Exactly. I had to stop feeding the birds outside my kitchen window because it attracted rats and other rodents which would invade the house. The rats would be attracted to the cat food in the kitchen and gnaw holes in the doors or wooden baseboards. I've lived through two rat infestations, and I won't deal with another if I can do something about it.
Predators are good company, as long as you're sensible around 'em! I always enjoyed seeing ours out and about, kinda miss 'em since one got hit by a car and the other(s) apparently decided to relocate. They were polite guys. Enjoy seeing the wild rabbits too, and skunks, and woodchuck, and squirrels. Don't necessarily wish crunchings on any of 'em, but 'yotes gotta eat and that's how nature works.
Yeah, I remember your rat plagues and don't blame you. They can be persistent and destructive, and very likely an invasive species (if they're the more likely Norway rats) and need to be eliminated. Not their fault, I don't harbor ill will against them either, so I prefer to dispatch 'em as quickly and painlessly as I can. Native species I'd try to relocate (and hope they do ok in their new location).

I think I linked you to Daily Coyote a while back, speaking of. Get a chance to check it out?
