James normally works as a party clown, but this past weekend the local Museum of Natural History hired him and some other performers to be dinosaurs for a promotional event for their new dinosaur exhibit. They went to the Downtown Monster Shop, got dinosaured up, and then had a swell time entertaining people by stomping around on the Museum lawn and roaring at each other.
But when they went back to get rehumanized, a thunderstorm started, and a leak in the ceiling caused the Monsterizer to short out! Fortunately everyone had already been rehumanized... except James. And then when he came back the next day, he was shocked to find he'd have to be stuck as a T. rex for a few more days!

There is that. But the other actually true thing here, which nobody else seems to have picked up on, disappointing me, is that a dinosaur in front of the Museum of Natural History is cool and fun, whereas the same, full-size, realistic dinosaur in your own little living room is scary as hell!
(Honestly, you people, I try and I try, I work and slave all day over a hot... uh... digital drawing tablet... and this is the thankerchiefs I get?)

YOU'D THINK SO, but then stuff like THIS sometimes happens: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u02Eq2RDpBk
And that's just a panda, standing there not even doing anything!
