This happened a few days ago when the Leafs were playing the Bruins here. I was across the street at Vua getting some food, just as these two were leaving. Seemed like a middle aged couple on a first date, each struggling to make a good first impression.

She was dressed in full Maple Leafs gear while he wore a camo t-shirt, khakis and a simple blue button up shirt as a jacket (my guess the only blue item of clothing he owned). She was super apologetic for being exhausted at the end of a long work week, while he did his best to normalize everything and keep the evening positive.

It was charming to see each trying so hard.
