a pertinacious penguin's pump, to be precise! :]
sweat-soaked, exhausted, aching; the overstressed tendons and sinews burn with herculean effort; each proud, rhythmic heartbeat peals like deafening thunder heralding a mighty storm. the earth trembles and the wind screams, but past this room, this weight rack, this barbell, the world no longer exists. there is only strength, and effort, and the fiery cascade of blood and adrenaline roiling, slamming, pounding... ever pounding in her ears.
she swallows down spiderweb spasms of pain, embraces colorful phosphenes flashing across her vision, draws a final, shuddering draught of air into her lungs; it is the essence of life, it is the foundation of vigor, and though she fears to burst from the strain, she is not yet satisfied.
she is NOT yet satisfied. agony can be nursed tomorrow.
tonight, there is one last pump to be made.
...and after that, one more. :]

thank you! i get the feeling that penguins look goofy on purpose, to lure unsuspecting folks into a false sense of security... moments before unleashing slick, FLIGHTLESS VENGEANCE!
and my guess is that the clothes are just old and ragged, but it's not to say that she's doing a poor job of filling them out. :]
